2. Hardware Performance Test
This AMD CN2 GIA VPS uses an AMD EPYC series processor with an approximate single-core frequency of 2.0GHz, delivering stable overall performance. The system correctly detects 1.5GB of RAM and also provides around 255MB of virtual memory.
The NVMe SSD delivers read/write speeds of approximately 1.5GB/s, offering excellent I/O performance for fast file operations and website loading speeds. The virtualization technology used is KVM, and BBR acceleration can be installed manually, making it suitable for a wide range of deployment scenarios.
3. Network Performance and Latency Test
In upload and download tests from major regions in mainland China, the HostDare US AMD CN2 GIA VPS was able to fully utilize the 100Mbps bandwidth in both upstream and downstream directions, with stable overall network performance.
Ping test results showed an average latency of approximately 185ms to mainland China. While this is not exceptionally low, it remains acceptable for a US West Coast CN2-optimized route.
▪ China Telecom Route
Outbound traffic uses a standard direct route to Los Angeles, while inbound traffic is optimized through CN2 GIA, resulting in excellent latency and stability.
▪ China Unicom Route
Outbound routing is direct, while inbound traffic uses the premium AS9929 route, providing abundant bandwidth and high-quality return routing performance.
▪ China Mobile Route
Outbound traffic also uses a standard direct route, while inbound traffic is optimized via the CMIN2 network. Latency is slightly higher but remains stable overall.
Overall, all three major Chinese ISPs use premium optimized return routes — China Telecom CN2 GIA, China Unicom AS9929, and China Mobile CMIN2 — delivering a noticeably better experience compared to regular US West Coast VPS providers.
4. Streaming and IP Quality Test
The tested IP address is a native US data center IP and can successfully unlock US Netflix, TikTok US region content, and access permissions for some AI platforms.
According to ipinfo.io, the IP type is classified as “hosting” rather than residential. ping0.cc also identifies it as a standard data center IP. It is suitable for web hosting, business deployment, and media streaming, but not recommended for scenarios requiring residential IP addresses.
5. Video Streaming and Website Hosting Experience
Under a China Unicom network environment, YouTube 4K streaming speeds exceeded 100,000 kbps, allowing smooth playback without buffering.
After installing the BaoTa Panel (LNMP environment), the VPS still retained approximately 1GB of available memory and 3GB of free disk space. It is sufficient for running WordPress or small-to-medium-sized websites. For heavier website deployments, choosing a higher-tier configuration is recommended to better utilize the double RAM promotion.
6. Review Summary
