Background of the Incident

Recently, a reader contacted me via email regarding a service dispute involving VPS services purchased from veloxmedia.co.uk (VeloxMedia). The following content is compiled and summarized based on the reader’s original email and the ticket screenshots they provided.

This article does not make any subjective judgment regarding either party and only presents the sequence of events objectively for readers’ reference.

Overview of the Reader’s Purchases

According to the reader, they purchased two VPS services from VeloxMedia:

  • VPS 1: United Kingdom node (annual billing)
  • VPS 2: United States node (annual billing)

Both VPS services were fully prepaid in advance.

Timeline of the Incident

1️⃣ Dispute Regarding the U.S. VPS

  • Around January 13, 2026, the reader received an email from Eric Banks, who was identified as a representative or owner of VeloxMedia.
  • According to the email:
    • The U.S. VPS purchased by the reader was allegedly contracted through a company referred to as “Lewis Company,” rather than VeloxMedia itself;
    • The U.S. VPS would expire on January 20, 2026;
    • VeloxMedia stated that it would not provide refunds or further support, and advised the reader to request a chargeback through their payment bank instead.

The reader stated that they did not initially respond to this email.

2️⃣ Billing Emails and Service Termination

  • The reader later began receiving billing emails from VeloxMedia requesting renewal payment for the U.S. VPS at a rate of $2/month.
  • The reader did not respond to or process these billing emails.
  • On January 26, 2026, the U.S. VPS service was officially terminated.

3️⃣ Support Ticket Communication and Negotiation Attempts

After the U.S. VPS was terminated, the reader submitted a support ticket to VeloxMedia and proposed the following possible solutions:

  • If a refund was not possible, whether:
    1. The unused remaining balance could be returned as VeloxMedia account credit for future purchases;
    2. Or the remaining service period of the U.S. VPS could be transferred to the reader’s still-active UK VPS.

According to the screenshots provided by the reader, none of these proposals were accepted by the other party.

4️⃣ UK VPS Also Terminated

  • After the U.S. VPS had already been terminated, the reader continued receiving billing and renewal reminder emails from VeloxMedia.
  • The reader later contacted Eric Banks again to ask why billing emails were still being sent for a VPS that had already been terminated.
  • According to the reader, the response stated:
    • Since the reader was dissatisfied with their services, the remaining UK VPS service would also be terminated.
  • On January 30, 2026, the reader’s UK VPS was also terminated.

According to the reader, both VPS services were terminated before the prepaid annual service period had ended, and no refund or balance compensation solution was provided.

Current Status (At the Time of the Reader’s Email)

  • Both VPS services have been terminated;
  • The reader continues receiving billing and renewal reminder emails from VeloxMedia;
  • No agreement has been reached regarding refunds, account balance credits, or service-term transfers.

Original Reader Email and Ticket Screenshots

Hello,

I purchased two VPS services from veloxmedia.co.uk, one located in the UK and the other in the United States. Around January 13, 2026, I received an email from Eric Banks (the owner of VeloxMedia). He stated that the U.S. VPS I purchased was supposedly contracted through a company called Lewis Company rather than VeloxMedia, and that the service would expire on January 20, 2026. He also told me to request a refund directly through my payment bank and stated that they would not provide any assistance regarding the refund process.

I initially ignored the email. Then on January 19, I received billing emails from VeloxMedia asking me to renew the VPS at $2/month. I ignored those as well, but continued receiving similar billing emails. Finally, on January 26, my U.S. VPS was terminated.

I submitted a support ticket to VeloxMedia and attempted to negotiate. My request was simple: if they could not issue a refund, then at least return the unused balance as account credit so I could use it for future VPS purchases. Alternatively, I asked whether the remaining service period could be transferred to my other UK VPS. However, they refused all of my requests from beginning to end.

Later on, VeloxMedia continued sending billing emails even though my U.S. VPS had already been terminated. I contacted Eric Banks again and asked why they were still sending invoices for a terminated service. According to my understanding, Eric Banks became angry and stated that since I was dissatisfied with their services, they would terminate my other UK VPS as well.

After that, I continuously received billing emails regarding the UK VPS. I chose not to respond, and finally on January 30, my UK VPS was also terminated. I contacted Eric Banks again, but he repeated that since I was dissatisfied with their services, the VPS would be terminated without refund. Today I received yet another billing email, and I expect they will continue sending similar messages.

What I want to express is that VeloxMedia appears to be controlled entirely by Eric Banks. In my opinion, this person has no credibility whatsoever, and I personally feel he behaves irrationally and unprofessionally. I hope you can warn others through your YouTube channel and community discussions so that people can avoid similar experiences.

Attached are screenshots of the support tickets I submitted to VeloxMedia, including my communication records with Eric Banks.
