| Starting Price | ¥51.00 CNY/month Buy Link | ¥365.00 CNY/month Buy Link |
From a hardware perspective, this server performs well. It uses an AMD EPYC-Rome processor with strong single-core performance. Geekbench 5 single-core score reaches 904, and multi-core score is 911.
Disk performance is particularly strong, with random 4K read/write speeds reaching 206.71 MB/s and 207.25 MB/s respectively, totaling over 400 MB/s, easily handling high I/O workloads.
Network Performance Analysis
1. Ping Latency & International Routing
This ReCloud server is clearly labeled as pure international routing without China optimization, and testing confirms this:
- China Mainland latency: Most regions average around 100ms. Telecom and Unicom perform moderately, while Mobile performs better, with some regions reaching as low as 47ms. This is not comparable to CN2 optimized networks, but sufficient for non-latency-sensitive users.
- Overseas latency: Extremely low latency in Singapore (<1ms). Hong Kong and Japan average 50–100ms. North America and Europe range between 150–200ms, consistent with international routing characteristics.
2. Routing Analysis (Outbound & Return Paths)
We analyzed routing paths for China’s three major ISPs:
- Outbound routing: Telecom, Unicom, and Mobile all exit China via international backbone networks such as NTT, Cogent, or Level3, then directly reach Singapore.
- Return routing:
- Telecom: Returns via NTT, entering China through Hong Kong or Shanghai into the telecom backbone.
- Unicom: Mainly returns via NTT or Zayo, sometimes passing through Japan or US West Coast.
- Mobile: Returns via Level3, with the shortest path directly into China Mobile backbone.
Conclusion: The routing matches the official description of pure international routing. No China-optimized routes are used. Mobile users enjoy the best experience due to the shortest return path and lowest latency.
Streaming Unlock & IP Quality
One of the key highlights is media unlocking capability:
- Streaming unlock: Successfully unlocks Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and Amazon Prime Video. IP correctly geolocates to Singapore, suitable for regional content access. ChatGPT is also accessible. However, Spotify is not unlocked.
- IP quality: The IP is a native IP, but some databases assign it a relatively high risk score (e.g., IP2Location, IPQS). No abnormal behavior was observed in testing, but long-term usage requires monitoring IP reputation.
Overall Evaluation & Recommendation
ReCloud Singapore BGP Cloud Server is a strong product in both performance and functionality.
Advantages:
- Strong performance: Excellent CPU and disk performance suitable for most personal or small-scale projects.
- Excellent unlocking capability: Supports multiple mainstream streaming platforms and AI services.
- Stable international network: Pure international routing ensures stable overseas connectivity, especially friendly to China Mobile users.
Disadvantages:
- High latency in mainland China: No China-optimized routing; not suitable for latency-sensitive applications for Telecom/Unicom users.
- IP risk level: Some databases flag the IP as risky; long-term stability may require attention.
Recommendation:
If you need a high-performance server with strong streaming unlock capabilities, mainly for overseas usage (streaming, hosting, etc.), and you are a China Mobile user, this ReCloud Singapore BGP server is a very cost-effective choice.
However, if you are a Telecom or Unicom user requiring low-latency mainland connectivity, you may want to consider other optimized routing solutions.
