DogYun has been gaining increasing attention in the cloud server market in recent years, especially for its Hong Kong MG data center BGP routes. It offers 100Mbps to 300Mbps bandwidth with direct connectivity across China’s three major ISPs. To better understand its real-world performance, I purchased the entry-level classic cloud server using account balance and conducted a series of tests for reference.

Test Server Configuration & System Environment
For this test, the HK.MG.BGP.S plan was selected. The detailed configuration is as follows:- CPU: Single-core E5-2697 v4
- RAM: 1GB
- Disk: 20GB
- Bandwidth: 100Mbps BGP routing
- Operating System: Debian 12 (BBR pre-installed by provider template)
CPU, Memory & Disk Performance Test
The Fusion Monster script was used for benchmarking. Some key results are as follows:- CPU Performance: Single-core E5-2697 v4 provides stable computational performance
- Memory Performance: Read/write speeds meet expectations with no noticeable bottlenecks
- Disk I/O: Slightly better than advertised limits, performance is above average among similar VPS offerings
Bandwidth & Network Performance Test
Speedtest and Bench tools were used to evaluate bandwidth performance:- Speedtest: Able to fully utilize 100Mbps bandwidth
- Bench Test: Good I/O performance and stable bandwidth delivery
- Return Route Test: China Telecom 163, China Mobile CMI, and China Unicom CMI routes show stable connectivity
- Asia Node Testing: Good speeds from Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan, making it suitable for Asia-Pacific workloads
Streaming Unlock Test
This test used a non-native IP, which resulted in limited streaming unlock capability. If better streaming access is required, it is recommended to choose a native IP plan for improved compatibility.Routing Analysis (Outbound & Return Paths)
- China Telecom outbound: CN2 route with low latency and stable performance
- China Unicom outbound: AS10099 route, stable connectivity
- China Mobile outbound: CMI routing, suitable for mainland access
- Return path: Telecom 163, Mobile/Unicom via CMI, overall good connectivity
