What is AKDNS?

When a server accesses services such as Netflix, Disney+, or ChatGPT:
- The DNS request is sent to AKDNS.

What DNS Changes Does AKDNS Make?
During installation, the script automatically manages the server’s existing DNS configuration.
This includes:
- Disabling systemd-resolved
- Disabling NetworkManager DNS management
- Disabling resolvconf
- Processing netplan configuration
- Rewriting /etc/resolv.conf
Additionally:
- Original configurations are automatically backed up
- Files are locked using chattr +i
- Prevents dhclient or cloud-init from overwriting DNS settings
If necessary, the original configuration can be restored through the recovery option in the script menu.
