YinNet specializes in overseas residential IP VPS services with multiple Asian locations. Its Vietnam node is marketed as a “Dual-ISP” residential IP solution, targeting users who need native Vietnamese home broadband IPs. This series features no DDoS protection, standard international routing, Linux-only support, and officially advertised bandwidth starting at 100Mbps.
This review is based on the 200Mbps plan and focuses on hardware performance, China routing tests, IP quality, streaming unlock capability, and real-world usage experience.
1. Plan Information (Same Configuration as Tested)
| Plan | CPU | RAM | SSD | Traffic | Bandwidth | IPv4 | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entry Plan | 1 Core | 1GB | 10GB | 1TB | 100Mbps | 1 | $12/month Purchase Link |
| Reviewed Plan | 2 Cores | 2GB | 20GB | 2TB | 200Mbps | 1 | $14/month Purchase Link |
Supported payment methods include Alipay, Stripe, and USDT. Linux only — Windows is not supported.
2. Hardware Performance Test
First, we checked the hardware specifications. The CPU was identified as a dual-core 2.2GHz processor, although the exact model could not be detected. Based on the frequency, performance falls into the entry-level category.
Memory was detected at approximately 1979MB, with a default swap allocation of 512MB. Users can manually adjust swap to 1GB or 2GB if necessary. The virtualization architecture is KVM.
For storage, the 20GB SSD capacity was correctly recognized, with average read/write speeds around 287MB/s. Performance is considered mid-range — not high-end NVMe level, but sufficient for lightweight websites and basic workloads.
Overall, the hardware performance is entry-level and best suited for light workloads.
3. Network and Bandwidth Testing
This test was performed on the 200Mbps bandwidth plan.
For downloads, speeds from mainland China and Europe/US nodes were generally around 100Mbps and failed to fully utilize the advertised 200Mbps bandwidth. Overseas Asian nodes performed relatively better.
Upload performance was noticeably weaker, with most nodes showing poor upload speeds. Overall, there appears to be significant bandwidth throttling, especially for uploads.
Based on testing, the actual available bandwidth differs noticeably from the advertised specifications.
4. China Latency and Routing Analysis
Average latency from mainland China was approximately 182ms. Although Vietnam is geographically close to China, most routes involved significant detours.
Performance by carrier:
- China Telecom: Outbound routing detoured through Japan and Singapore before entering Vietnam. Return routes were mostly direct or via China Telecom 163 backbone, resulting in relatively lower latency.
- China Unicom: Outbound traffic detoured through the United States, resulting in the highest latency. Return paths partially routed through the US and partially through Japan.
- China Mobile: Outbound traffic mainly routed through Singapore, while return routes mostly detoured through Japan.
Overall performance ranking:
- China Telecom performed relatively best
- China Mobile was acceptable
- China Unicom suffered from significantly higher latency
Due to the frequent routing detours in both directions, this VPS is not suitable for websites targeting mainland China users.
5. IP Quality and Streaming Unlock Capability
IP testing results:
- ipinfo.io classified the IP type as “isp,” clearly showing dual-ISP attributes.
- Multiple databases recognized the IP as a native Vietnam IP.
- IP reputation reports identified it as a Vietnam native residential IP.
- Most databases categorized it as a Vietnamese home broadband IP with relatively clean IP quality.
Port 25 status:
- Port 25 is open.
- Most overseas email services work normally.
- Most Chinese email services are unavailable (except NetEase Mail).
Streaming and AI platform unlock capability:
- Successfully unlocks Vietnam TikTok
- Successfully unlocks Vietnam Netflix
- Supports Vietnamese local streaming services
- Supports Vietnam-based AI platforms
Streaming unlock capability is one of the strongest advantages of this product.
6. Real-World Video Experience
Testing under a China Mobile broadband connection showed:
- YouTube speed tests reached around 30,000+
- 1080P playback struggled and was not consistently smooth
Combined with the bandwidth and routing results above:
- China Telecom networks may perform slightly better
- China Unicom networks will likely perform worse
Overall video streaming performance is poor and not recommended for media consumption purposes.
7. Website Hosting Test
After installing the BaoTa panel and deploying a default LNMP environment:
- Memory usage was approximately 414MB
- Disk usage was approximately 4GB
Even the lowest-tier configuration still has enough remaining resources for small websites. However, due to the relatively high latency to mainland China and Europe/US regions, it is better suited for Southeast Asian visitors.
Overall Pros and Cons
Advantages
- Dual-ISP Vietnam native IP
- Recognized as a Vietnamese residential IP by most databases
- Good IP cleanliness and reputation
- Excellent streaming and AI platform unlock capability
- Port 25 is open
Disadvantages
- Average CPU performance
- Noticeable bandwidth throttling
- Weak upload speeds
- Frequent routing detours across all major Chinese ISPs
- Poor video streaming experience
Recommended Use Cases
Suitable for:
- Vietnam AI platform registration and usage
- Overseas email marketing
- Vietnam TikTok short-video operations
- Users requiring a Vietnam native residential IP environment
Not suitable for:
- Hosting websites targeting mainland China users
- Video streaming and entertainment purposes
- High-bandwidth workloads
If you plan to run Vietnam TikTok live streaming, using a Singapore or Japan optimized relay line is recommended.
