Test Configuration

The package we tested is US.LA.TRI.DC2.Basic with the following configuration:
    • RAM: 1024 MB
    • Storage: 10 GB SSD
    • Bandwidth: 200 Mbps
    • Traffic: 400 GB/month

Comprehensive Performance Test

1. Hardware Performance

This VPS uses KVM virtualization with a powerful AMD EPYC-Rome processor.
    • Geekbench 5 Score: Single-core 923, Multi-core 924. Excellent performance for a single-core configuration, sufficient for most personal blogs, websites, and standard applications.
    • Disk I/O: Exceptional SSD performance. Fio tests show 4k block read/write speeds over 250MB/s, and 1m block total read/write speeds reaching an impressive 8.94 GB/s. This demonstrates high SSD efficiency, improving data processing and website loading speeds.
    • Memory Performance: SysBench single-thread read speed 42704.50 MB/s, write speed 19112.24 MB/s, excellent results.
 Basic System Information:
 ---------------------------------
 Uptime     : 17 days, 14 hours, 39 minutes
 Processor  : AMD EPYC-Rome Processor
 CPU cores  : 1 @ 2345.594 MHz
 RAM        : 973.3 MiB
 Disk       : 10.0 GiB
 Distro     : Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
 Kernel     : 6.1.0-26-cloud-amd64

2. Network Quality Test

Network Latency (Ping)
Ping tests from 163 monitoring points across China show stable latency.
    • Average Mainland China Latency: 161ms.
    • China Telecom Average: 157ms, Shanghai Telecom lowest at 126ms.
    • China Unicom Average: 169ms.
    • China Mobile Average: 157ms, Shanghai Mobile at 129ms.
For a West Coast US VPS, this latency is excellent, particularly in East China where latency is very low.
Routing Analysis (Outbound & Return)
    • Outbound Routing: All three networks (Telecom, Unicom, Mobile) connect via backbone without obvious detours.
    • Return Routing (Key): This is the core metric for line quality. Tests show VMISS fulfills its tri-network optimization promise:
        • Telecom Return: via CN2 GIA (AS4809), low latency and minimal packet loss.
        • Unicom Return: via CU9929 (AS9929), high-end optimized line exceeding standard AS4837.
        • Mobile Return: via CMIN2 (AS58807), next-generation optimized network.
Overall, the VPS return routes are premium, ensuring stable and high-speed connections even during peak hours.
Tri-Network Return Routing (may vary with load)
Beijing TCP: Telecom AS967->CN2GIA | Unicom AS967->9929 | Mobile AS967->CMIN2
Shanghai TCP: Telecom AS967->CN2GIA | Unicom Arelion->4837 | Mobile AS967->CMIN2
Guangzhou TCP: Telecom AS967->CN2GIA | Unicom AS967->10099 | Mobile AS967->CMIN2
Note: Shanghai Unicom may occasionally show a regular line, but most regions and times use 9929; routing may adjust dynamically based on load.
Domestic Speed Test
Although the package port is 200Mbps, some nodes perform remarkably, e.g., Shanghai Unicom reached 3975 Mbps, indicating ample bandwidth potential. Other nodes met expectations.

3. IP Quality and Streaming Unlock

    • IP Type: Detected as a US native IP with very low risk, clean quality.
    • Streaming Unlock:
        • Failed to Unlock: Spotify.
For users with streaming needs, the unlock capability is excellent.
Streaming & AI Service Unlock Test
